When you create an account, we may collect:

Some of this information may be visible to other users.

1.3 User Generated Content

Content you publish may be visible to other users.

1.4 AI Conversations

LangBridge provides AI-powered language learning.

Text messages and voice recordings that you submit during AI conversations may be processed to:

• recognize speech;
• generate AI responses;
• provide language corrections;
• improve conversation quality;
• maintain the functionality of the service.

Voice and text are processed only as necessary to provide these features.

LangBridge displays advertisements.

Advertising partners process such information according to their own privacy policies.

1.8 AI Feature Information and Third-Party AI Sharing

When you choose to use AI-powered features, LangBridge may send the information needed to complete your request to OpenAI, LLC and its service infrastructure, a third-party AI service provider. The app asks for your permission before this transfer occurs. If you do not agree, LangBridge does not start the selected AI feature and does not send that AI-feature data to OpenAI.

The data sent to OpenAI depends on the AI feature you choose and may include:

• chat IDs, message text, selected messages, and conversation context for AI chat analysis, AI replies, translations, and explanations;
• user ID, session ID, selected topic, selected words or phrases, recent AI practice history, and language-learning context;
• microphone audio, call audio recordings, speech transcripts, voice-practice messages, and call transcript history for speech recognition, AI speaking practice, realtime AI conversation, and AI call analysis;
• your native and learning language codes;
• generated AI responses, transcripts, explanations, translations, reports, and feedback.

This information is collected when you type, speak, record audio, start an AI voice/realtime session, request AI analysis, or ask for an AI explanation, translation, reply, transcript, or feedback. LangBridge uses this data only to provide the AI-powered language learning feature you requested, troubleshoot failures, maintain service functionality, and enforce safety and security requirements.

OpenAI processes this information to provide the requested AI output. LangBridge requires third-party providers that process personal data on our behalf, including OpenAI, to provide the same or equal level of privacy and security protection required by applicable privacy laws and our contractual obligations.

2. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

• provide our services;
• authenticate users;
• create and manage accounts;
• personalize language learning;
• provide AI language practice, including AI chat analysis, AI call analysis, AI explanations, translations, replies, transcripts, and learning feedback;
• improve user experience;
• display user-generated content;
• communicate with users;
• send notifications;
• improve application performance;
• detect fraud;
• maintain platform security;
• provide customer support;
• display advertisements;
• comply with legal obligations.

3. Authentication

LangBridge supports authentication using:

• Email and Password
• Google Sign-In
• Sign in with Apple

Authentication is securely handled using Firebase Authentication and related authentication technologies.

4. Legal Basis for Processing (EEA, UK and Switzerland)

If you are located within the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we process personal information only where we have a lawful basis.

These legal bases include:

Notifications can be disabled in your device settings.

8. Artificial Intelligence Services

LangBridge uses artificial intelligence technologies to provide language learning features. The current third-party AI provider is OpenAI. The in-app AI consent disclosure identifies OpenAI, lists the categories of data that may be sent for the selected feature, and asks for permission before LangBridge sends AI-feature data to OpenAI.

Information submitted during AI interactions is processed solely for providing the requested AI feature, such as speech recognition, translations, explanations, AI replies, conversation practice, transcripts, reports, and learning feedback.

We do not sell AI interaction data and we do not use your conversations to personally identify you.

9. Advertising

LangBridge displays advertisements.

Advertisements may be personalized or non-personalized depending on:

• applicable laws;
• your consent;
• your device settings.

Advertising providers may use advertising identifiers and similar technologies.

10. Third-Party Services

We may use trusted third-party providers including, but not limited to:

• Firebase Authentication
• Firebase Cloud Messaging
• Firebase Analytics
• Google Play Services
• Apple Services
• OpenAI, LLC and its service infrastructure for AI-powered language learning features, after in-app permission where required
• Advertising providers (including Google AdMob and other advertising networks)

Each provider processes information according to its own privacy policy.

11. User Generated Content

Content that you voluntarily publish may become publicly visible.

Examples include:

• profile information;
• posts;
• comments;
• achievements;
• learning activities.

You are responsible for any information you choose to publish.

12. Community Safety

To maintain a safe environment, we may use automated systems and, where appropriate, human review to detect:

• spam;
• abusive behavior;
• illegal content;
• fraud;
• violations of our Terms of Service.

Content violating our policies may be removed.

13. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

16. Backup Copies

Encrypted backup copies of certain information may remain temporarily after account deletion for disaster recovery purposes.

Such backups are automatically removed according to our backup retention schedule.

17. Account Deletion

Users may permanently delete their account directly within the App.

When an account is deleted:

• profile information is deleted;
• authentication data is removed where applicable;
• learning progress is deleted;
• user-generated content associated solely with the account is deleted, except where retention is required by law or necessary for legitimate security, fraud prevention, or the integrity of public discussions.

Account deletion is irreversible.

18. Children's Privacy

LangBridge is not intended for children under the minimum age required by applicable law.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate authorization.

19. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your country of residence.

By using LangBridge, you consent to such transfers where permitted by applicable law.

20. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties.

28. Do Not Track

Because there is currently no universally accepted standard for responding to Do Not Track signals, LangBridge does not currently respond to such requests.

29. Business Transfers

If LangBridge is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, bankruptcy or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

30. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

When changes are made, the Effective Date will be updated.

Continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
